In "Assault on Galactus Chapter Three," the X-Men join forces with the scattered heroes of Battleworld for one final stand against Galactus, whose hunger grows as he begins devouring his own world ship. In "Quicksand!", Iceman is pulled into the presence of Oblivion, a being that threatens to erase him from existence. Forced to confront his past, he’s sent to retrieve his daughter Mirage, who has hidden in time as a young woman named Marge Smith. As Iceman tracks her down, Marge resists, unwilling to return—leading to a tense confrontation that ends with both of them facing Oblivion once more.
