Secret Warriors #8

Part two of "God of Fear, God of War" arrives in this 2009 Marvel series, with a Jim Cheung cover depicting three members of the Secret Warriors — including a young energy-powered figure in black and white, a flame-wreathed archer, and a muscular brawler — surging forward against an imposing armored warrior in a crested golden helmet who raises a blazing chain and sword. The tension between the team and their towering opponent crackles right off the page, making it easy to see why Jonathan Hickman's run on this series had readers eager for each new chapter. Alessandro Vitti handles the interior art, with colors by Sunny Gho rounding out what promises to be a charged installment in this ongoing saga.
