Secret Six #13

Gail Simone's DC New 52 run on Secret Six reaches issue #13 with a cover by Liam Sharp that assembles the full, gloriously unsettling roster — a glowing-eyed armored figure strides front and center while a towering bruiser in a suit, a stylish woman in a sequined hat and bow tie, a figure in green, a pale woman in fishnet, and a wide-eyed child clutching a ventriloquist dummy lurk menacingly behind her. Sharp's moody, teal-tinged palette gives the whole group a sinister energy that perfectly captures why this team occupies such a compelling corner of the DC universe. With Tom Derenick on interior art and Jason Wright's colors, "Silent Running" looks like another sharp entry in one of 2016's most entertainingly twisted team books.
