Secret Six #11

Gail Simone's Secret Six hits its eleventh issue with a rain-soaked cover by Dale Eaglesham that immediately commands attention: Batgirl stands atop a massive, snarling winged lion gargoyle, her red hair catching the downpour while a heavily armed, skull-masked figure crouches just below in the creature's jaws. The contrast between Batgirl's composed stance above and the menacing armored figure beneath sets a wonderfully tense tone for "The Gauntlet, Part One: Head of the Class." With Simone at the helm and art duties shared between Eaglesham and Tom Derenick, this 2016 installment of DC's fan-favorite team book looks like a compelling start to a new arc.
