This collected edition presents the complete graphic novel component of Gord Downie and Jeff Lemire's multimedia project Secret Path, which tells the story of Chanie Wenjack, a 12-year-old Anishinaabe boy who died in 1963 while trying to walk home from a residential school in northern Ontario. Published by Simon and Schuster, the book combines Lemire's stark, emotional artwork with Downie's lyrics to illuminate a tragic chapter in Canadian history.
