Secret Empire #2

The cover of Secret Empire #2 depicts a chaotic, swirling melee of heroes caught in desperate struggle — Daredevil in his black suit is front and center, while Doctor Strange, a young woman, and Iron Fist are flung outward in all directions amid an eerie green-lit backdrop, with a blinding flash of energy at the heart of the collision. Mark Brooks' painted cover composition has a striking sense of freefall, conveying a resistance movement already under tremendous pressure. With Nick Spencer writing and Andrea Sorrentino and Rod Reis on art, this 2017 Marvel event series was clearly pulling no punches in its second chapter.
