Jun 2019 · Alterna · 1.50 USD

In *Scrimshaw: Tears of Sonoran Sea* #3 (2019), Tanaka and her crew push through the treacherous Sonoran Sea, where a brutal encounter with a rival PRC faction forces them into a deadly confrontation. As they reach the ruins of an ancient river battleground and uncover a hidden tunnel to Nuevo Alamo, the threat of Baron’s relentless pursuit grows—especially as they learn the settlement may not be the sanctuary they hoped for. Written by Eric Borden and illustrated with striking detail by Dave Mims (pencils, inks, and colors), with additional coloring by Ryan Winn and Spencer Desmond, and lettering by Spike O'Laochdha, this issue deepens the journey with a haunting, atmospheric tone. The cover, also by Dave Mims, captures the stark beauty and tension of the desert’s edge.
