The whole Mystery Inc. gang — Velma, Daphne, Shaggy, Fred, and Scooby-Doo — has stumbled onto a glittering chest overflowing with treasure, though the enormous glowing-eyed monster lurking in the shadows behind them suggests the find comes with strings attached. Daphne quips that she thought the treasure was just a myth, while Shaggy is simply relieved the monster part might not be true — a perfectly Shaggy sentiment. Joe Staton's cover art for this 2005 issue captures that cheerful blend of spooky atmosphere and lighthearted comedy that makes Scooby-Doo such enduring fun, and "The Fright Aquatic" promises more of the same inside.
