Scooby-Doo #39
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeScooby-Doo and Shaggy are in full panic mode on this lively 2000 cover by Joe Staton and Dave Hunt — Shaggy pedaling a BMX bike at top speed while Scooby clings on behind him, both of them doing their best to outrun a very determined headless horseman-type figure brandishing a pumpkin head. The cover gags write themselves, with Shaggy's speech bubble pleading to stay "a-head" and Scooby hollering "Ride, Raggy! Ride!" as dirt flies beneath the wheels. It's a wonderfully energetic setup for the story "Two Heads Are Better Than None," perfectly capturing the duo's signature mix of comedy and just-barely-contained terror.
