Scooby Apocalypse #8

The whole gang is cornered and desperate in this 2017 installment of DC's gritty reimagining — Scooby, Shaggy, Fred, Daphne, and Velma are huddled together between the towering legs of two heavily armed, armored figures looming over them from either side, medical equipment and blood bags visible in the eerie teal-lit background. Howard Porter's cover does a tremendous job of conveying just how outmatched and vulnerable Mystery Inc. feels in this post-apocalyptic world. With Giffen and DeMatteis at the helm and art from Eaglesham and Wagner inside, this series continues to deliver a surprisingly tense take on characters you thought you knew.
