“Trail's End - Part Four”

As Scalped races toward its conclusion with "Trail's End – Part Four," Jock's cover sets an almost elemental tone: a vast field of smoldering orange dominates the image, with a structure consumed by bright flames at the bottom — small against the scale of the inferno surrounding it. That image of a burning building swallowed by an overwhelming blaze feels like a perfect visual metaphor for everything Jason Aaron and R. M. Guéra's Vertigo series has been building toward, and this penultimate stretch promises the kind of gut-punch storytelling the book has always delivered.
