Savior #8

Clayton Crain's painted cover for this eighth issue from Todd McFarlane and Brian Holguin's 2015 Image series is a striking, tension-soaked image: a bloodied figure in white crouches in a crimson-splattered environment, pressing a handgun against what appears to be a glowing column while eerie, luminous circular symbols swirl around them. The contrast between the character's damaged white garment and the supernatural green and violet light gives the scene a charged, otherworldly atmosphere. Fans of dark, viscerally rendered superhero storytelling will find this a compelling entry in Savior's run.
