"Pop Goes the Weasel" features Wonder Boy attending a veterans' convention where stage money is used as a practical joke, only to discover the currency is actually real and will burn after a specific time period, prompting a race against the clock. "Assignment: Danger" follows Rocketman as he is called upon by representatives of the nation of Clovakia to prevent a government takeover by agents of Kazania, requiring him to stop Kazanian forces pursuing him and alert his country before it is too late. The issue also includes the main Samson story, in which the strong man saves a firehouse from disaster and becomes a town hero, but must participate in a secret meeting and bank robbery scheme despite his reluctance, culminating in a dangerous situation that requires quick action.
When a veterans' convention brings stage money to town, Wonder Boy finds himself tangled up with counterfeiters who've been using an unsuspecting cashier to pass the real thing. As the crook tries to make a desperate escape across the city rooftops, Wonder Boy must decide whether justice or saving a life comes first.
When world powers gather at a floating peace conference in 2042, Rocketman uncovers a sinister plot: Kazania is secretly planning to invade its neighbor Clovokia despite pledging peace. Using his mind-reading abilities and quick thinking, Rocketman races to stop the Kazanian army before their invasion can succeed—but standing against an entire military force means he'll have to risk everything to prevent global catastrophe.
When a massive fire tears through Fairview, Samson's heroic efforts to save lives catch the attention of crooks who seize the moment to rob the town bank—disguising themselves as firefighters to make their getaway. But Samson's unlikely ally, the firehouse mascot Spotty, alerts him to the danger, setting the stage for a high-speed pursuit that forces our strongest man to think as fast as he acts. With the town facing a second catastrophe, Samson must stop the criminals, recover the stolen money, and race against time to save his neighbors from an inferno.
