This Giant Harvey-Size issue from 1970 finds everyone's favorite hapless GI in typically disastrous form — the cover shows Sad Sack attempting a strongman act billed "In Person! Sad Sack Alias Samson," only to bring a 500-lb. weight crashing down with a resounding "BOING!" while Sarge, a bemused soldier, and little Muttsy look on in various states of alarm and exasperation. The charming character portrait panels along the left side remind readers that the full cast — Sarge, The General, Muttsy, and Sadie Sack — are all along for the fun. At 25 cents, this oversized edition promises a generous helping of George Baker's warm, good-natured army comedy.
