Sad Sad Sack #21
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeHarvey's Giant Size format means more laughs per page, and this April 1969 issue delivers the full ensemble of Sad Sack's world — Sad Sack himself, Sarge, The General, Muttsy, and Sadie Sack are all spotlighted in character portraits along the left side. The cover scene, signed by George Baker, shows a hapless soldier clutching a "How to Throw Your Voice" book while a room full of bewildered bunkmates reacts to some apparent ventriloquism gone very wrong, with a grumpy Sarge throwing open the door to investigate. It's a charming snapshot of the gentle, gag-driven army humor that made this series such a reliable good time.
