Sad Sad Sack World #18 from Harvey's Giant Size lineup delivers a full dose of army-life chaos, as a massive "CRUNCH" of collapsing furniture and equipment in the Receiving area sends poor Sad Sack looking on in bewildered dismay while Sarge and assorted soldiers scramble through the wreckage. The cover, signed by George Baker, crams in the whole familiar cast — Sad Sack, Sarge, The General, Muttsy, and Sadie Sack — each neatly spotlighted in character portraits along the left side. For 25 cents in 1968, this oversized issue offered plenty of bumbling military misadventure in Baker's wonderfully expressive cartooning style.
