Harvey's beloved everyman soldier is at it again — on George Baker's cover for this 1957 issue, Sad Sack blissfully snoozes (ZZZ) in a hammock strung between two trees while a torrential rainstorm soaks his fellow soldiers below, their tent apparently repurposed as his cozy bed. The surrounding troops look on in soggy disbelief as their hapless bunkmate sleeps through the whole soggy chaos, perfectly capturing the gentle, good-natured humor that earned this series its "Loved by Millions" tagline.
