Sad Sack Comics #7

Based on George Baker's original comic strip character, this seventh issue of Harvey's Sad Sack Comics promises plenty of laughs with its cheerfully chaotic cover scene: our hapless hero in his yellow-striped shirt looks on in wide-eyed alarm as a grumpy, barrel-chested cop stumbles backward over a sprawled dog at his feet. The cover by George Baker captures that perfect blend of slapstick misfortune and everyman sympathy that made Sad Sack "loved by millions" by 1950, and the promise of a "rib-tickling story behind the cover" makes this one easy to crack open.
