Sad Sack Comics #259

Harvey's long-running military humor series reaches issue #259 with a cover by Fred Rhoads that perfectly captures the strip's gentle comedic spirit. Poor Sad Sack is hard at work laying bricks — trowel in hand, wheelbarrow full of mortar beside him — while his rotund, dozing companion leans contentedly against a tree, snoring away (ZZZs and all).
