In "Out of it All," Jo finds himself roped into a space mission to Mars—only to discover the real work isn’t exploring alien worlds, but digging canals under the watchful eyes of Martians. With Sarge’s usual charm and a dash of bad luck, Jo’s attempt to dodge manual labor just lands him in the most absurdly literal hole of his life.

In "Troubles Begin," Sod stumbles upon a fortune in diamonds on his land, only to find that spending it is far easier than mining more. As his wealth vanishes and life returns to its simple rhythm, he and his wife find a quiet contentment in the quiet of their old ways.

In "Army Style," Lieutenant’s delight at Cookie’s carefully prepared meal quickly unravels when Sack steps up to the serving line—only for Cookie to dump the food onto his tray with the same rough efficiency he uses in the mess hall, leaving the lieutenant stunned and Sack bewildered.

In "New Scenery," Sack and Slob, fed up with endless TV, convince the Sarge to grant them a furlough—only to discover he’s eager to be rid of them. Their road trip leads them to a motel, where they settle in for a night of uninterrupted viewing, blissfully unaware of what’s next.

In "Caught," Jo tries to sneak out of camp under cover of night, only to freeze when he spots what looks like Sarge’s silhouette against a building. Panicked, he retreats to the barracks, only to learn in the morning that the shadow was just a pile of sewer and plumbing pipes.
