Poor Sad Sack has done it again — the cover of this 1963 Harvey issue finds our hapless soldier having apparently sat on and shattered a modern sculpture labeled "Egg," much to the dismay of a stern sergeant standing nearby, surrounded by equally abstract pieces titled "Woman" and "Man," while Sad Sack's little dog Mutsy looks on from below. George Baker's cheerful linework wrings every last drop of comedy from the scene, capturing that perfect mix of military authority and bumbling misfortune that made this series so endearing. A fun, lighthearted slice of early-'60s humor comics at a price of just 12 cents.
