Sad Sack Comics #132

Harvey's beloved everyman soldier is at it again in this August 1962 installment of the long-running series "Loved by Millions." George Baker's cover captures a wonderfully chaotic moment: Sad Sack recoils from a gushing stream of water while clutching a horseshoe, a smug sergeant strides past with stars ringing his head, and a scrambling little dog rounds out the slapstick scene. It's the kind of good-natured military misadventure that made this series a staple of the Harvey Comics lineup throughout the early '60s.
