Sad Sack Comics #123

Harvey Comics' long-running army comedy series returns with issue #123, cover-dated November 1961, boasting that it's "Loved by Millions" — and it's easy to see why. George Baker's cover art captures a grinning sergeant striding confidently with a rifle over his shoulder while a thoroughly rattled Sad Sack scrambles along beside him, their helmets hilariously askew, as the little dog Muttsy scurries along the ground below. It's warm, goofy military humor at its most charming, all for a dime.
