Sabrina the Teenage Witch #87

Against a dramatic sunset sky streaked with deep oranges and purples, a worried Sabrina reaches out from the gnarled branches of a towering tree while her wide-eyed black cat perches above her — a vivid, manga-styled image that perfectly teases the "A New Leaf" story within. Tania del Rio's cover pencils (inked by Jim Amash) give the whole scene an expressive, anime-inspired energy that had been winning over fans throughout this run. Part of Archie's 65th anniversary celebration in 2007, this issue is a great example of the series at its most visually inventive.
