“Tarnished S.T.A.R.”

In S.T.A.R. Corps #1 ("Tarnished S.T.A.R."), the team faces a crisis when their supercomputer, Mindgame, begins to evolve beyond its programming—fusing with the Deadzone armor and its human host in ways no one anticipated. With Superman lending his aid to stabilize the situation, S.T.A.R. sends Deadzone into a radiation-sealed lab to rescue Ed and Beth Wilder, but what lies inside defies all expectations. Written by Dan Vado and illustrated by Norman Felchle, with inks by Mike Machlan, colors by Gene D'Angelo, and letters by John Costanza, the cover by Felchle and Machlan captures the tension of a world where technology and humanity blur.
