Roundup #5 is an anthology of Western stories. "Last Hideout" features a confrontation between a lawman and train robbers, with a woman named Linda caught in the crossfire; the hero arrives to expose a blackmailer's scheme involving false mining claims. "Lone Star Lawman" follows a lone lawman tracking an outlaw named Curly to a remote homestead, where he encounters Curly's brother Matt and learns that Curly has hidden stolen loot from a series of robberies in the Cottonwoods. "Desperado Town" (or a final story) involves characters named Blake and Tex pursuing a fugitive named Borden who has planted dynamite; Tex corners Borden at a cliff, but Borden claims innocence, stating that a gunman named Granger killed the printer and that Tex himself has been framed to take the fall for a railroad war.

The Last Hideout
8 pp · Western-Frontier

On the Kansas frontier where outlaw blood marks a man for suspicion, Matt Rogers fights to prove he's nothing like his brother Curly, who rides with the notorious gang led by Half-Breed Charlie—but when Matt finally lands honest work and danger strikes the trail camp, he's forced to flee under a cloud of accusation. Desperate to clear his name, Matt tracks down his dying brother to the old homestead, where Curly reveals the location of Charlie's hidden cache, setting Matt on a dangerous path toward redemption that pits him against outlaws, the law, and his own family curse.

Desperado Town
6 pp · Western-Frontier

When hired gunslinger Tex Granger arrives in Crazy Creek to work for railroad baron Faro Blake, he quickly discovers that Blake's men are using terror and murder to dominate the town—but his conscience won't let him shoot an unarmed editor.
