"Roundup" #1 is an anthology of Western crime stories. One story features a ranger confronting criminals including a character named Peacock and the villain Updegraph in a desert town showdown. Another tale follows a cowboy named Jake and his companion Christy as they pursue Black Jack and his gang across the wilderness at night, eventually trapping the outlaws in a canyon where a final gunfight erupts. A third story depicts a confrontation between a woman in yellow and a man claiming to have never killed anyone, involving a rattlesnake and physical combat in a desert setting.
