Rorschach #4

Tom King, Jorge Fornés, and Dave Stewart's Rorschach continues to surprise with its fourth chapter, and this cover by Fornés is a genuine showstopper. Designed to evoke a vintage circus handbill, it features a strongman in a black leotard hoisting a heavy barbell overhead, flanked by striped big-top tents against a sunburst of teal and tan — the shadow pooling beneath him shaped unmistakably like an inkblot. DC Black Label's mature, design-forward approach to the Watchmen universe is on full display here, promising a story as strange and textured as the world it inhabits.
