Rook: Exodus #3

Jason Fabok's cover for Rook: Exodus #3 is a striking composition — a heavily armored, masked figure strides forward with clenched fists, cables trailing from his helmet, while looming behind him are a stag, a bear, a wolf, and other snarling wildlife rendered in ominous, oversized silhouette. Below, armed mechanical vehicles hold their ground in what looks like a tense standoff. Geoff Johns and Fabok's Ghost Machine series continues with "The Wildlife Grid," and this third issue promises a collision of high-tech firepower and something far more primal. Brad Anderson's warm, fiery palette gives the whole scene a charged, almost apocalyptic atmosphere that's hard to look away from.
