Rook: Exodus #1

From writer Geoff Johns and artist Jason Fabok comes Rook: Exodus #1, a post-apocalyptic opener set against a scorched, amber-hazed wasteland where smoke rises from distant towers and dark birds circle overhead. The cover puts the armored, metal-masked figure of Rook front and center — pistol raised, a second weapon at his side, bandoliers across his chest — flanked by a massive mechanical creature looming behind him and feral, tusked beasts prowling at his feet. Fabok's linework is dense and commanding, and with Brad Anderson's fiery coloring wrapping the whole scene in heat and tension, this 2024 Image/Ghost Machine launch looks like a serious piece of science-fiction storytelling right from the first page.
