Joe was on holiday at Tradour Bay while Cherry was making her debut as a singer at a local theatre. She tells him that this was their day, not yesterday, not tomorrow. He didn't believe her as he got on the train to go back to medical school. Years later, they had gone their separate ways and married other people. But when Joe was in a theatre and a request was made for a doctor, he remembers how Cherry joked about what would happen to him in a situation just like that.
