A letter arrives in London regarding the renewal of oil concessions, but the sheik will only deal with Juliette in person at his palace in Zarabia. When Juliette arrives, she is kidnapped and held for ransom. The ransom is paid and Juliette is flown to her original destination where she discovers her kidnapper has used the ransom money to overthrow the tyrant Ali. As the new sheik of Zarabia, he writes her a cheque to repay the ransom. When Juliette asks about interest on the loan, the sheik offers to take her back to Dumana Oasis for a day or two and she accepts.
