This issue contains at least two stories. "Charge Account Wife" depicts a conflict between a couple over spending habits, where a woman's expensive jewelry purchases and luxury interests create tension with her thrift-minded husband, ultimately resolved when she agrees to let him make decisions. A second story follows a newlywed couple, Roslyn and Lane, who travel to San Peralta where they stay at a cottage belonging to Paul Hauser and his wife Helen, but Roslyn becomes frustrated with the primitive living conditions marked by pervasive oil and grime.
