A newlywed couple, Dunc and Sally, face marital strain when financial difficulties arise after Dunc loses his job. Sally worries about their future and questions whether Dunc truly loves her, fearing his affections are merely guilt-driven. After a romantic reconciliation under the moonlight where Dunc promises to return to Trayville and find better work, the couple's troubles seem resolved.
