This anthology issue contains two romantic stories: "I Can't Say Goodbye" follows Mary, who becomes engaged to Mark after he confesses his love at a party, only to be confronted that night by his ex-girlfriend Irene, who reveals Mark still loves her; Mary realizes Mark's true feelings belong to Irene and breaks off the engagement, ultimately leading to Mark and Mary's wedding announcement. The second story, "Love Blossoms in the Years After Marriage," depicts Denise's conflicted feelings about marrying the wealthy Monsieur Bordeaux, whom she does not love, while harboring romantic feelings for Claude; despite her initial resistance, Denise accepts her fate and the announcement of her betrothal to André Bordeaux appears in the newspaper.
