Visiting French lecturer André proposes to Terry, but she is unsure about “the thought of marrying a—-foreigner—-and living abroad.” She asks her Aunt Sue for advice. Sue says she fell in love with British sailor Tim but asked him to return to England while she made up her mind. Sue finally decides to marry Tim but his ship sinks as he comes back to the USA: “my love sank in the Atlantic with that ship!” Sue tells Terry “love can’t wait.” Terry catches André before he departs and agrees to marry him.
