Cathy has a crush on a motor-cycle champion. When he learns she works at a firm that makes racing cars, he tries to use her to get a job as a racing car driver. Although Cathy sees that he uses people to get his own way, she still feels she loves him. She comes to realize that Joe also loves her, but his was an unselfish love. Cathy learns that the brakes of one of the cars has been tampered with in revenge for something Joe had done, but she doesn't know which car. With the race underway, she can only stop one of the cars and has to make a choice.
