Irene falls in love with Chuck, her boyfriend Bert’s best friend. Chuck and Bert go off to work on a South American construction project, and Bert is killed in an accident: Chuck tells Irene he feels responsible and their romance cannot survive this. However, Bert’s mother informs Chuck that he saved other men with his actions, and Bert would have done the same thing. Now Chuck and Irene can get married with a clean conscience.
