Rod Cameron arrives in Gray Rock just as a gang of outlaws, led by Bat Burton, robs the general store, forcing him to intervene. When banker Turnbull is later framed for the robbery, Rod uncovers a conspiracy that reveals Turnbull has been held hostage and forced to help the gang, who plan to use him as a shield during a daylight bank heist.

Annoyed Andrews is fed up with townspeople constantly meddling in his affairs, so he hatches a mischievous plan to teach them a lesson by opening a skunk farm—just to see how long they’ll keep poking their noses where they don’t belong.

After a daring jailbreak, Rod and Barker flee together, only to discover that Barker’s partner, Jim Dillon, has been using the local bank to circulate fake money—and that the real danger lies ahead.

Rod Cameron, captured by the renegade Black Elk and his warriors, barely escapes death in the Devil Pit and flees into the Red Hills, where he teams up with Chief White Eagle to outwit the raiders. Using a daring plan to lure Black Elk’s band into a trap, Rod sets a false trail and waits for the moment to challenge the renegade to a fight that could break his hold over the other outlaws.
