Rocky Lane must stop a secret marshal named Frank Saunders from escaping through a tunnel after discovering stolen cattle at a stockyard. Rocky pursues Saunders on horseback and eventually apprehends him at a barn. A humorous backup story features Rocky's horse Black Jack suffering from indigestion caused by eating spinach, leading to scratching and comedic mishaps when a woman tries to care for him, ultimately tearing up a book in the process.
