Rocky Lane Western #62

Rocky Lane pursues the killer of a man named Hank Kirby, who has been locked up for the murder. When Rocky's gun is found near the dead man's body, he becomes the prime suspect, forcing him to go on the run and write a letter to the chief marshal explaining the truth before he can escape across the border to Canada. Meanwhile, a young man named Kid Scurry attempts to break out of jail to avoid being hanged for the crime, leading to a confrontation at the general store as Rocky tries to uncover the real murderer and clear his name.
