Rocky Lane discovers that a gang of bandits has changed their plans to shoot all the bandits on sight after he decided to pursue them. After a gunfight with the gang, Rocky overhears the villain Cobb Wilson plotting to kill him and steal the loot, but Rocky manages to escape to the cellar where he devises a plan. Rocky then sneaks out to prevent the gang from seeing him, and with the help of volunteers from the marshal's office, he sets up an ambush to capture the remaining bandits and recover the stolen goods.

When Dee Dickens shows up at a family dinner party at his cousin's spread, he finds himself trapped outside with a stranger who can't resist making fun of every relative in sight—from Oscar's oversized ears to Uncle Jim's perpetually slipping bald head. As the two trade barbs about the odd assortment of kin gathered for the meal, chaos erupts inside over turkey-carving duties and a nephew's impatience, leading Dee to make some questionable decisions about how to keep the peace.
