The story concludes with Rocky riding across the prairie in pursuit of fleeing outlaws, whom he pursues through fog and over difficult terrain on horseback.

When scheming cattlemen steal the hunting rights clause from an Indian peace treaty and brand wild buffalo to sell back to the tribe, Secret Marshal Rocky Lane and his stallion Black Jack must expose the fraud before a profitable con becomes an act of war. With the treaty mutilated and the truth buried, Rocky devises a clever trap using the tribe's own arrows—transformed into something far more explosive—to force the swindlers' hands and recover the missing evidence.

Dee Dickens can't seem to understand what Ollie's trying to sell him when it comes to dogs—a Spitz? A Pekingese? A Chow?—leading to a series of hilarious misunderstandings about dog breeds and what Dee actually needs. As the two bicker back and forth with increasingly ridiculous logic, Dee finally decides what kind of dog would truly suit his lifestyle, leaving Ollie thoroughly exasperated by the whole affair.

7 pp · Western-Frontier

Secret Marshal Rocky Lane answers a desperate call from a young woman whose grandfather has vanished from the Circle M Ranch, only to find himself ambushed by mysterious riders emerging from an impossible fog rolling across the Great Plains. When a strange chemical and the marshal's quick thinking reveal a sinister connection between the fog and a ruthless gang, Rocky devises an ingenious plan to expose the truth hidden in the mist. Frank Doyle's pencils and inks bring this fog-shrouded mystery to life across seven pages of frontier justice.
