Rocket Raccoon #4

The finale of Marvel's four-issue limited series arrives in style, with cover art by Mike Mignola and Al Gordon delivering a gloriously strange tableau: Rocket Raccoon rides a golden mechanical horse at full gallop, sword raised, while a snake-wielding figure swoops in from above on a dark bird and a cast of peculiar small creatures tumbles through the chaos around them. It's a fittingly wild and imaginative send-off for Bill Mantlo's offbeat corner of the Marvel universe, rendered with Mignola's already distinctive eye for dynamic, slightly otherworldly imagery.
