Rocket's father sends Rocket, Sue and Punchy to Mars to investigate strange explosions. They discover the Robot King is making war on the inhabitants of Mars. Since it's "a robot law that the ruler must always accept a challenge to his kingship," Rocket challenges and defeats the Robot King, freeing the Martians. But the Robot King escapes in his spaceship with Sue and Punchy as hostages. Rocket rescues his friends and exposes Professor Mogul as the Robot King, who was using "Mars as an experimental laboratory before attempting to subjugate the Earth!"
