“Book of the Dead”

In "Book of the Dead," the Bat-Family is thrown into chaos when a skeleton clad in Robin’s tunic and cape is discovered in the sewers beneath Arkham Asylum, leading them to fear Tim has been killed by Killer Croc. As they prepare to confront a mob of Jokerized villains, a separate scene reveals the real Robin has reached Oracle’s headquarters, where he explains how he narrowly escaped Croc’s grasp. Written by Chuck Dixon and illustrated by Jeff Parker, with colors by Noelle Giddings and Digital Chameleon, and lettered by Kurt Hathaway, the issue’s striking cover by Bill Sienkiewicz captures the eerie tone of a story that blurs the line between myth and reality.
