Robin #40 (April 1997) hits an emotional turning point right on its cover — a figure in civilian clothes cradles an unconscious young woman in the foreground, while an enormous, scarlet-hued Robin looms behind them, fists clenched and face contorted in fury, driving home the tagline "…And After the Pain — Rage!" The cover by Mike Wieringo and Terry Austin uses that striking red palette to convey barely contained grief and anger in equal measure. With Chuck Dixon writing and Staz Johnson on interior art, "Nowhere Fast!" looks like a charged chapter in Tim Drake's ongoing story.
