From the cover by Mike Wieringo and Terry Austin, Robin is caught in a moment of visible anguish — gripped from behind by a blond, green-costumed figure while a menacing purple-robed, bird-masked figure looms close with claw-like hands reaching in. The tagline "There is no scream of rage… but there should be" sets a quietly intense, almost haunting tone that Chuck Dixon's "Sophomore Lethal" promises to deliver on. This February 1996 issue finds Tim Drake's Robin pressed on two fronts, and the cover makes it easy to believe things are about to get considerably worse before they get better.
