Rise of the Black Panther #3

The third chapter of this 2018 Marvel series brings together a striking assembly of figures on Brian Stelfreeze's cover: a looming Black Panther rendered in deep blue dominates the composition, while Iron Man's helmet glows in the foreground alongside a poised woman in traditional patterned attire and a man's face emerging from the shadows. Writers Ta-Nehisi Coates and Evan Narcisse, with artist Paul Renaud and colorist Stéphane Paitreau, continue what feels like an ambitious, layered exploration of Wakanda and its king. The rich interplay of vibrant color against a stark white background gives the whole thing a sense of weight and consequence that's hard to look away from.
