The time travelers land where they originally tried to go but are greeted with hostility by Chief Amya Yun, who believes they are the cause of the tribe's green sickness. The team runs off and is saved by tribesman Akku, who has been experimenting with the sagebrush and has just brewed up his newest attempt, which he takes himself, and is cured. Rip cures the chief's son and all is forgiven. Akku is made medicine man and Rip and team return to the present where they cure the stricken tribe.
